In the United States, accreditation is a major way to ensure the quality of education. The status of accreditation ensures that the institution voluntarily conducts a comprehensive self-assessment and peer assessment that indicates that the institution meets the accreditation criteria. To obtain accreditation, an institution must clearly demonstrate its educational intentions; provides a structured, structured learning experience and services that enable students to meet these set goals; and that students and graduates have benefited from the learning experience provided.

In addition, accreditation ensures that the institution operates sound financially, adopts learning programs, qualified educators, adequate facilities and resources, employment policies and admission policies, is involved in continuous self-evaluation and planning, and truly develops its programs.
